Research & Ingredients

Why did we choose the ingredients that we did for our products?

We wanted our formulas to provide the best combination of ingredients to optimize health and wellness. All raw ingredients are vetted from authentic sources. Every ingredient is inspected, tested and grown with the utmost care.

CBD and CBG provide several benefits to an oral health regimen. Combined, these benefits help aid in promoting and maintaining healthy teeth and gums in addition to systemic health overall.

These cannabinoids also possess natural anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties.

CBD (Cannabidiol)

CBD is found in the cannabis plant. It is a natural chemical compound that does not contain tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) which is the compound in the cannabis plant that causes a mind-altering effect (feeling “high”). CBD also exhibits natural antioxidant activities.

    CBG (Cannabigerol)

CBG is also found in the cannabis plant and does not contain THC. Much like it’s partner, CBD, this cannabinoid provides a multitude of benefits as well. CBG exhibits natural antioxidant activities, anti-nausea and other beneficial properties for better health.

      Yerba Mate

This plant derived ingredient has antioxidant capabilities which aids in moisturizing the skin and improves elasticity and firmness.

Yerba Mate contains Vitamins A, C, B1, B2. Vitamin A aids in healthy skin cell production, while B1 provides antioxidant properties. B2 repairs tissue and heals wounds. Vitamin C helps heal skin damage (primarily caused by sun damage) and aids in collagen production. Finally, Yerba Mate contains chlorophyll which helps protect the skin against the sun’s harsh rays (the use of sunscreen is still advocated).

      Arnica

Dating back to the 1500’s, Arnica has been used for soothing aching muscles and healing wounds. When used in a topical application such as a cream or gel, Arnica enhances circulation and allows the body’s natural healing powers to kick in. Arnica is an herb that comes from the plant Arnica Montana, a yellow-orange flower that grows in the mountains of Europe and Siberia. It’s also known as wolf’s bane, leopard’s bane, or mountain arnica. Arnica is also used to help soothe muscle aches, heal wounds, and even stop bruising.

      Manuka Honey

Researchers have found that honey has natural antibacterial properties. This was discovered in the 19th century. However, not all honeys are the same.

Manuka honey not only has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, but also produces an anti-inflammatory action that has been used to help ease inflammation and pain. It is believed that the honey also helps the body produce cells that may help repair tissue that has been damaged.
